In Gardom Pond the lilies grow
A tranquil pond for those who know
And love this place; and in the sky
The red wing blackbirds sing and fly.
This precious water. Soon to be let go
And wasted in the sea below
For past decisions by some who lie
About Gardom Pond.
Take up our quarrel with the foe,
Resist, protest, do not let go
Of hope, but hold your placards high
Do not break faith with those who try
To save this place, while lilies grow
In Gardom Pond.
